The 3 Kings parade in Mojácar was an interesting affair, I’m told one of the floats ran out of fuel half way round and there was a “slight delay” whilst someone ran down to get some more. UGT conned the Junta into buying a ton of sweets – twice!

Super-union UGT not only conned the Junta de Andalucia into buying a ton of sweets for the 3 Kings procession, but they put the invoice through twice! El Mundo reports that in 2009 the union billed the Junta for “training services” but used the cash to buy a ton of sweets for the Seville three Kings procession – they had their own floats which throw sweets to all children as they pass by. Garrucha Xmas programme

From Garrucha tourism office I learn that: The Belen (nativity scene) will be inaugurated tomorrow Friday 13th at 7pm in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. From the 3rd – 6th January there will be a Christmas Market everyday in the same Square, and the Three Kings parade sets off from the port at 8pm on the 5th, which is always good fun.
