There’s some confusion this year over when summer starts in Spain. Is it the 20th or the 21st? Different calendars are marking different days! Well, It Depends. This winter in Almeria has been the driest for the last 80 years says the Spanish met office AEMAT. It technically “hasn’t rained” since last October in the Levante, meaning the dams are way down on where they should be for the year.
We were in Mojacar on Friday evening and so decided to visit the Pirate Market on the so-called “south beach”. No idea when it was rebaptised the “South beach of Mojacar”, but hey, go with the flow.
