Small pony abandoned in Almería city centre

A bizarre situation happened yesterday in Almería city. Local police found a small pony abandoned in the city centre – and had to use a rubbish lorry to take it the pound. Residents of C/ Lopez Vega called the cops early Sunday morning after spotting the scared animal nosing for food. Villages to get dogcatchers to reduce feral animals

Small villages across Almería will now have access to an official dog catcher paid for by the Diputación (county council) after a contract worth €60,000 was awarded this week to a local company for this service. Almeria dog pound see waves of dog thefts

The municipal dog pound in Almería city has called for help from the townhall after a wave of thefts saw almost two dozen dogs vanish over the last couple of weeks. Occasional thefts of animals from the pound are nothing unusual say the management, but such a massive theft has prompted calls for the townhall to up security measures at the pound. Municipal Dog Pound closed after environmental police damming report

The municipal dog pound of Velez Rubio has been “urgently” closed by the Mayor after a spot inspection by Seprona, the environmental police, found “appalling and inhumane” conditions at the place. Seprona has filed a criminal complaint against the town for the condition of the pound. Granada must pay compensation for crushing a new Lamborghini

Granada council has been ordered to pay €76.733 after it sold a mans Lamborghini for scrap. The error occurred after the Local Police towed a 140 Gallardo Lamborghini that was seized after being driven in a dangerous manner in 2010. It was taken to the municipal car deposit as evidence until the court case. After the court case was resolved in early 2011, the Judge ordered the return of the vehicle to its owner. Bad news for Spain as UK wakes up to hung parliament

And so we wakes up to news that the UK is facing a hung parliament, and the possibility -watching a very tired Mandelson spar with Paxman about it now- of Brown hanging on via a LD coalition.
