Los Gallardos petrol station robbery

Forgot to post this yesterday. The petrol station in Los Gallardos was attacked in the wee hours of Friday morning, hence the smashed plate glass. It seems two young lads made at the windows with a cheap sledgehammer. After the fifth or six pound on the glass, the head came flying off leaving them a bit nonplussed. All they managed to do was star the security glass, they never got in. They thus decided to Continue reading Los Gallardos petrol station robbery

Garrucha roundabout to be built

Finally! The dangerous La Simona crossroads leading into Garrucha port from the by-pass is to become a roundabout. The idea was first mooted eight years ago but no agreement has ever been reached. Now the city council has agreed to proceed Continue reading Garrucha roundabout to be built

They’re searching for alabaster (used to make windows), serpentine (used in the steel industry) and marble. The Junta de Andalucia has issued prospecting rights to Continue reading Los Gallardos mining row
