Paul McCartney to play Almería? The Mayor is hoping so!

The Mayor of Almería has admitted his office is working on bringing Paul McCartney to Almería in 2016 to celebrate the 50 years since John Lennon came to film here. “With patience and good planning anything can be achieved” said Mayor Rodrigo during an interview on local radio, confessing that a plan is being drawn up. Film about local English Professor goes to the Oscars

The recent Lennon Almería Forever festival in Almería city was a huge success with Lennon fans from across the region meeting up in an evening of Beatlemania last Friday. John Lennon vandalised again

The statue of John Lennon in the Rambla in Almeria has been vandalised yet again. Somebody really hates that statue. This time, he’s had a face paint and his guitar broken. His glasses vanished quite a while ago – why the sculptor thought it was a good idea to place some glasses on his face without attaching them is anybody guess.
