Albox directors jailed

Six directors of an Albox building company have been found guilty and jailed for repeated breaches of health and safety, despite no work accidents having occurred. Penal Court 2 of Almeria ruled the company forced workers to work under unsafe work conditions and ignored complaints. The case started in 2008 when a work inspector visited the works and found a large number of violations. Some b*stard in Palma beat his horse to death after he lost a horse race in Manacor, Palma de Mallorca. And a Judge has ruled he must now serve his eight months in jail. Spain spends 3 million euros a day on prisions

That works out to be €54 a prisoner, according a new study. And that’s not including the catalanes, who run their own prisons. There are some 57,000 people behind bars in Spain’s 68 prisons, excluding the ones in Catalonia, as Barcelona runs its own prison service. The EU Court of Human Rights has overthrown the “Parot Doctrine”, which means a large number of ETA terrorists and mass murderers could be released immediately. 15 months jail for throwing a Chihuahua out of the window

A woman in Jaen has been sentenced to 15 months in jail, and fined 900€ plus vets fees for throwing a neighbours Chihuahua out of a third storey window. It seems that the dog escaped from the flat next door and entered into the womans apartment when she left the door open. Balearic Isles ex-President jailed for corruption involving King’s son-in-law

Enciso let out on bail

Mayor Enciso of El Ejido, the chap accused of stealing 150 million euros from townhall coffers has been released from Albolote jail in Granada pending his trial on a bail of 300,000 €. Enciso was arrested last October along with 20 other people, accused of paying inflated and false invoices to a  network of false companies.
