Mojo Picon Italian restaurant on Mojacar Playa

This is a Readers Review submitted by Britt Arenander on the Mojo Picón Italian restaurant on Mojácar Playa. I have discovered a little pearl of an Italian restaurant on Mojácar playa, unpretentious and cosy, situated on the Casa Egea stretch, more or less opposite Tito´s. It´s still called Mojo Picón, as when the chicken with mojo picón was the main attraction. Now it´s run by a friendly young Italian couple who serve really good homemade Continue reading Mojo Picon Italian restaurant on Mojacar Playa

Ottocento restaurant, Mojacar Playa

Ottocento is a restaurant that I’ve never been to. It used to be called “Arcano” until it changed its’ name earlier this year. It can be found next to Asuntxu tapa beer pull restaurant on the Playa. Here’s a photo: Hudson Stubbs tells me that: “We went there for a meal tonight and I cannot praise it too highly. Nice restrained modern decor – excellent service and very reasonable prices. We both had starters – Continue reading Ottocento restaurant, Mojacar Playa

Plaza Mayor Cafeteria (Turre)

An attractive waitress called Carol works there in the afternoon, and then the slim Italian owner Continue reading Plaza Mayor Cafeteria (Turre)

Pizza da Marco, Turre

Feeling peckish, bored and cramped we walked into Turre to have a look around and maybe get a bite to eat. While not having great expectations of the place, I suggested trying out Pizza da Marco, the new pizzeria that’s opened up on the main street (just past the crossroads). It’s got a strange sign outside and during the day you have to navigate through a number of plastic tables to reach the entrance. Imagine Continue reading Pizza da Marco, Turre

Osteria Italian Restaurant, Mojacar

Osteria Italian Restaurant, Mojacar Osteria is a restaurant that I discovered shortly after it changed from being Los Gurullos. Now, I haven’t written about it before for two reasons – one I always enjoy it too much to remember much about it the next morning, and secondly to keep the hordes of tourists away. However, since it appears that the hordes have discovered it without my help, I may as well crack and commit my Continue reading Osteria Italian Restaurant, Mojacar
