Playa Macenas Beach & Golf Resort will be auctioned off this Thursday by the Ministry of Employment after the complex was seized for not paying social security. Valle del Este is first golf course around to use 100% recycled water

Vera has completed its deal to sell annually 250,000 cubic metres of recycled water from its sewage plant to the Valle del Este golf course. This means the golf course will now use only recycled water, which otherwise would have been dumped in the local riverbed or sea. It’s the only golf course in this area to use this system, adds Valle del Este with pride.

Cabo de Gata golf course planning permission denied

The Junta has refused planning permission for a new golf course in the Cabo de Gata area. ‘Promociones y Propiedades Inmobiliarias SA wanted to build 2,500 homes, 1000 hotel rooms and a 27 hole golf course in Nijar. The Junta, however, says that this would “favour a new urban settlement to the detriment of the natural area”. How times change… Ideal.es

The Junta has discovered that the golf capacity of Andalucía is for 1,14 million tourists a year, although the annual average of visitors is just 425.000. Velez Rubio to get golf course and 1,000 homes

A 1,4 million squre meter project to build two 18 hole golf courses and a thousand homes in Velez Rubio has been put out on public view by the Junta’s planning committee. Junta backtracks and authorises 10,000 new houses in La Ballabona, Huercal Overa
