Garrucha to update its paseo marítimo

Garrucha townhall has announced that it intends to repave and update the paseo marítimo after it presented a budget for 2015. The seafront promenade will have over €200,000 spent on it, mainly tarmac and repainting all the parking bays. The money is coming from the Diputación, county council. Junta asks EU to 280M to finish off Almería’s motorways

The Junta has said it will finish off all of the abandoned motorways in the province, if the EU stumps up 280 million euros to pay for it all. Well, that’s the essence of yesterday’s statement. Garrucha Mayor charged over “disappearence” of 1.3 million euros from budget

The PP Mayor of Garrucha has been charged in a private prosecution bought by the opposition PSOE party in the town, over a missing 1.3 million euros that vanished from the town coffers. 9 lighthouses across Almería mooted for hotel use

Puertos de España, the public company that owns and operates Spanish lighthouses, has proposed 9 lighthouses across Almería province for conversion into hotels. It’s part of a project setup by the company to change the use of some of its historic lighthouses in order to save the buildings.
