Almeria airport gets new summer routes

Almeria airport

It seems FITUR may be useful for something as Almeria Airport (code named LEI) has signed a series of new summer destinations at the trade fair. Mind you, it doesn’t alter my theory that FITUR is just one big jolly for the boys one iota. Jet2 and TUI have been studying these destinations since last year, they just use the Madrid tourism fair as the press launch destination. Any hoo…. UK airline Jet2.com plans to Continue reading Almeria airport gets new summer routes

Google flight search takes off in Spain

Google Flights has launched for Spain, showing a comprehensive network of flights into and out of Spain, and a price comparision tool. http://www.google.com/flights/ However, rather annoyingly, none of the major “low costs” such as Ryanair, Easyjet, LAN or Binter Canarias (who?!) allow their flights to appear on it. Taxes & charges on Spain UK flights – a consideration

Taxes & charges on flights UK to Spain I’ve just booked a flight back to the UK. (Stop cheering, it’s only for a week then I’m back!). With Monarch, of course. I go out of my way to avoid Ryanair and Easy Jet. Full of screaming toddlers, lower class yobbos, cramped seats, plastic bags of gin, etc. So much more comfortable in a Monarch extra leg room seat with a bottle of champers and some Continue reading Taxes & charges on Spain UK flights – a consideration

Went to Arrecife… ended up in Bodrum

The Corays, from Llanishen, Cardiff, had booked an all-inclusive holiday with First Choice in a five-star hotel in the Canary Islands and were supposed to be flying into Arrecife, Lanzarote. Last resort – the family are now booked on an alternative holiday But instead they found themselves in Continue reading Went to Arrecife… ended up in Bodrum
