Girl hurt in fairground attraction in El Ejido

I knew those things were bloody lethal – a 14 year-old girl has been seriously hurt at a fairground in El Ejido on Saturday night. The teenager, who suffers from the achondroplasia form of dwarfism, was a passenger on a ride called la rana (the frog) when she was thrown from her chair and impacted against the ground. No summer fair for Garrucha after Junta gets nasty

The Junta has gotten nasty with Garrucha and told them they can’t hold their traditional summer fair in the port. Arts & Crafts in Almanzora Palace

An arts and craft fair is to be held in the Almanzora Palace on Sunday August 8th from 5.00pm to 9.00pm. The Almanzora Palace is the rambling, run down yet strangely beautiful 19th century home of the Marquess of the Almanzora, whose name I misremember.
