Orange gas bottles go up this Tuesday

The price of an orange gas bottle (butano) will go up 3,3% tomorrow (Tuesday 19). They currently cost €12,68 and tomorrow they will cost €13.10.

Gas bottles down again

The price of a bottle of gas (botella de butano) has dropped again by 4.9% and has a maximum price of 12.76€. Which is nice. FACUA the consumers organisation points out that the average bottle of gas under the reign of Rajoy is still 28% more expensive than under Zapatero.

Dodgy gas installers nicked – over 2,500 elderly conned

You know those kind souls from the “gas company” that knock on your door and charge you a vast amount to change the regulator on your gas bottle? A whole bunch of them got arrested nationally yesterday. Not for ripping off over 2,500 main pensioners, or demanding money with menaces, but for defrauding the revenue.

Butane up again next month – a bottle will cost 16.43€

The government has approved yet another price increase for butane bottles, the orange gas bottles we all use – the new price will be 16.43€ as from the middle of July. That’s an increase of 5,8%, and a total 8,8% increase since January. 10 million Spaniards are dependent on butane bottles according to the industry.
