Barcelona bans all bullfight related festivals

Barcelona city council, having banned bullfighting back in 2012, is going a step further and banning the simulation of bull fighting, as well as all festivals involving bulls. The prohibition means that mock bull fights which involve teasing or distressing the animal are banned, as are corridas or any public spectacle which involves the death of the animal. Tossing the turkey festival in Jaen – it glided three stories quite well

Animal rights activists have spent the afternoon filing criminal complaints against anyone they could think of, after a live turkey was thrown off a church tower in Cazalilla, Jaen this afternoon. Almeria, stray cats and the petition to “stop the slaughter”…. not quite what it seems?

You’ll have read in the English language press (assuming you buy the Costa Almeria, and you live on the coast near a bar where they drop off the Euroweekly) that PAWS has joined a petition to “stop the slaughter” of cats in Almeria city.
