Whilst browsing ugly trousers on Amazon BuyVip España, I cam across the above item. The price column says they were 99.95€, reduced to 49.95€. The description on the left has the little disclaimer that the previous sale price was 39,95€, or 10€ less than the current offer price!
Whilst comparing online data backup services, I looked at Amazon’s AWS service for Spain. Clicking on the 99.99999% reliability – more information link showed me this : Fair enough. Today at 12:24, in case anyone is interested.
Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook, eBay, Microsoft & Yahoo paid a combined total of 1.251.608 euros in tax last year in Spain. Not news, after the UK fuss, but it seems to have shocked Spain. They follow the usual protocol of just having a local subsidary to look after advertising, merchants, etc in the country, but booking all revenue offshore.
