Cava loses out to milk and beer this NYE on Spanish TV

Nope, it’s not the Catalan boycott, it’s the power of the northern Advertising Euro. Estrella Galicia has bought the rights to be the drink of choice this NYE on all four private national broadcasters: La Sexta and Antena 3 (Atresmedia group), Cuatro and Telecinco (Mediaset). Mojacar: Nothing to do on the 29th of Feb!

“365 reasons to come to Mojácar” scream the new posters put up all along the playa. Ignoring the minor detail that once you’re here, you don’t need to be bombarded with posters telling you to come (I suspect they’re placeholders until the advertising company can sell the space to someone other than Tito), isn’t 2012 a leap year?
