I’ve been invited to Restaurante Albar next Thursday to give a talk on Andalusia. I’ll be talking on how Andalusia formed, its history through the ages and eventually how it morphed into the modern day region of Spain we all know and (hopefully) love.
Tickets cost €15, include a glass of Cava to keep you busy during the boring parts of the talk and a post-talk three course lunch.

Should be a fun day. I have been busy digging through my notes on Inquisitorial procedures in the Middle Ages for some fun anecdotes.
My old net buddy Nick Pelling is actually giving a talk to the Fortean Society in London on medievalia at that exact same time and date. I suppose it can’t quite compare, but at least I can hold my head up high when comparing diary notes 😉
Hi, this sounds interesting, what is the address of the restaurant (as I’m new to the area) and at what time will the talk start? Thanks, Maria
