Palomares has a new weekly market after the town council inaugurated a weekly Wednesday market. The market boasts stalls of all types and is being held in the main street until the early hours of the afternoon.
Mayor Antonio Fernandez visited the first edition of the market and told residents of Palomares that “the new market will fill a need in this town and I am delighted by the enthusiasm by which local traders have taken up spaces here.”
A total of 35 market stalls will be permitted at first, and if the demand is there the cap may be lifted according to councilor Melchora Caparros, whose department is in charge of the project.
Snra Caparros said that “I expect Palomares market to become a local reference and a shopping experience where people can buy most of their weekly needs from local producers”.
Palomares is a seaside village that belong to the municipality of Cuevas del Almanzora.
