A man has been arrested in Almeria city accused of forming part of a paedophile network who produced and sold child pornography over the internet. The arrest was part of a national swoop on 81 individuals in 28 cities across Spain. Agents of the National police discovered the network whilst actively searching for such material on the internet. Police say that several children have also been taken into care, and that some of the images were “homemade and of an extremely disturbing nature”. Police have seized a “large number” of computers and storage equipment and continue to extract evidence from the machines storage units.
