Game of Thrones will be filming part of season 7 here in the province, and the producers are looking for a whopping 2,400 extras.
They need 1,200 people of both sexes and say applicants must be aged between 18 & 65, and be “Mediterranean tanned, dark skinned or black”.
Other requisites are that females be at least 1,7m tall with a bust of between 86-95cm, and that men must be at least 1,75m tall with a bust of 96-112 cm. Men must be fit but not bodybuilders, any length of hair and prepared to growth facial hair. Women must have long hair. “Modern” hairstyles are discouraged, as are any visible tattoos.
A company called Modexpor is in charge of finding the lucky applicants, and will be holding a series of castings in Pabellón Moisés Ruiz in Almería city as from next Wednesday. Winners must be available between the 10th and 23rd of October, and will be paid €50 a day.
If anyone is interested, I calculate that their wage bill will be €1,560,000 for those 13 days…. plus social security of course.
