The townhall of Alzira (Alicante) is in hot water after it erected a 4.32 metre high monolith remembering a 1982 flood that devastated the town, but committed over 30 spelling mistakes on the engraving. Tous dam broke one day in 1982, and the river Júcar broke its banks, flooding the town. The monolith shows how high the flash flood was. The Spanish Royal Football Association (RFEF) has called an indefinite strike as from the 16th after a new law was signed by Congress reducing the royalties paid for audiovisual rights.
