Spectrum FM extends reach

Spectrum FM Costa Almeria have expanded their transmission area again to improve their coverage in Costa Almeria and Calida.Richard Shanley of Spectrum FM Almería told me that:

The coastal frequency of 106.8FM has benefited from the latest state of the art antennas and transmitters giving coverage from Carboneras to just south of Cartegana. The 96.1FM inland frequency from Bedar to Baza and Lorca to Lubrin has also been overhauled and coupled with new software and noise reduction systems also installed in the Mojacar studios will result in a much punchier, crisper sound across the whole area. Listeners will notice a discernible difference in the quality of their output as well as now reaching almost 3000 square kilometres of the beautiful Costa Almeria and Calida making us by far the largest area in the Spectrum FM group which also covers Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca North & South, Mallorca and Tenerife.

The RDS service has also been improved so if you primarily listen in your vehicle and the RDS option is switched on your radio will automatically switch between whichever frequency is more powerful dependant on where you are. This is instant with no time delay. If on the other hand you listen at work or at home please see the map to decide which will be the best frequency to tune to in order to keep up to date with everything happening in our beautiful area.
