Police have arrested noted “businessman” Antonio GG, aka “El Garí”, after seizing 500 kilos of cocaine found in a container in Cartagena port, along with 8 other people across the province of Almería. Antonio, a “businessman” who lives in Olula del Rio, has a number of businesses across the province but is also reputed to be involved in much shadier operations. Almería is safest destination in Andalusia, say tourists

The results of the 2014 tourism satisfaction survey (Encuesta de Coyuntura Turística de Andalucía) are out, and Almería is said by tourists to be the safest destination in Andalusia – it gets a whopping 8.8 out of 10 on the safety index. Tourists also like the access to medical services, rating the province a great 9.1 out of 10. (No, I don’t know exactly how these numbers are calculated). 107 passengers stranded because Almeria Airport “closed for the night”

Friday evenings Vueling flight from Barcelona to Almería arrived 20 minutes late due to bad weather. Passengers disembarked as normal, and the people waiting for the return flight (107 of them) duly filed out through security onto the tarmac, into the rain, to board the flight. Paedophile snatches six year old boy off street in Roquetas

A massive police operation in Roquetas del Mar ended with the arrest of a 36 year old man who snatched a six year old boy off the street Thursday night.
