Policia launch mobile phone app for denuncias

The Policia Nacional have launched a smartphone app for citizens to denounce crimes they witness from their phones. It’s called alertcops (and why not? I’m sure the average Spaniard will remember that name) and it’s available for Android and iPhone. Social Security boss took Mums pension for 19 years after she died

A senior official in the Seville Social Security office is on trial for continuing to accept his Mothers pension for 19 years after she passed away. Mum died in 1992, but R.A.S.M., ex-head of Social Security Administration number 1 in Seville continued to forge her pension on the yearly form. Tax Office in mass survey to find illegal swimming pools

The Tax Office (Hacienda) is carrying out a mass survey across the province to detect undeclared property improvements such as swimming pools and extensions. As these things are found, your property value will be automatically updated and your annual IBI will be increased, as well as other taxes based on property worth. Another film crew working in province

Basque director Imanol Uribe has started filming his latest opus here in the province, and expects to set most of the film here in Almeria province, mainly around the Cabo de Gata area. Imanol is a top Spanish film director. “Lejos del Mar”, an entirely Spanish project, stars Eduard Fernández and Elena Anaya.
