One of the mysteries of modern life in Spain was how Arboleas “only” had 1.320 homes. I mean, there are urbanisations out there with more than that, so why weren’t they accounted for?
Well, the Mayor, possibly because he spotted an extra source of income, appointed someone to update the official catastro, and the report has come back. The chap went round counting them all, and found an extra 1953 homes nobody knew existed.
So now these homes, which have people living in them, are connected to the utilities and are generally part of our capitalist 21st century information age civilisation, can start paying tax. Hurrah!
