The Diputacion is sinking a new well for drinking water in Bedar.
The current one, 145 metres deep, isn’t producing enough water, and the water it is producing is coming out with too many minerals. A thingie to reduce the iron content, installed a few years ago, isn’t doing too well as the minerals continue to increase
Well, they’re sucking at the bottom of the barrel…
The new one will be 250 metres deep, and be capable of sucking out 2,5 litres of water a second. It requires a new pumping station and will be connected to the old network. Work to start in the next couple of months.
Meanwhile, in Turre, we continue to live with mud coming out of the taps.
