The main M30 ring road round Madrid was temporarily closed, causing a large traffic jam, after police found an elderly motorcyclist wandering around the centre carriageway looking for his false teeth.
Several motorists dialled 112 to report that the man was in danger in the centre of the busy motorway, and police patrols which responded to the call were forced to close lanes to escort him safely away.
It turns out that the man, whilst driving down the motorway on his motorbike, sneezed and lost his new false teeth.
Unwilling to lose them, he parked up and started dodging the traffic to look for them.
Police escorted him away from motorway – and half an hour later he was spotted again, having returned to continue the search.
Police chased him off, and it’s not clear if he ever found the teeth.
