Almeria Uni snuggles on up to the Ruskies

Ignoring the current geopolitical situation, Almeria Uni has gone ahead and signed a cooperation and friendship agreement with a major Moscow education network. Rector of A.U. Pedro Molina and Valentina Komleva, Vice-President of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, RANEPA, signed the agreement yesterday in Almeria. Bayarcal offering free homes to families to prevent school closure

The tiny village of Bayárcal, up above Almeria in the Alpujarras, has seen its population dip below the level deemed necessary to keep the village school open. There are only 360 people in the village, most of them elderly, and just 14 children.
