An easyjet plane from London to Casablance made an emergency landing today in Madrid Barajas after smoke was seen in the cabin.
An emergency was declared at 17:00 this afternoon when the pilots radioed a Mayday and asked for emergency landing rights, which were granted.
Airport operations were disrupted for about 20 minutes whilst the plane landed and was escorted off the runway.
Passengers disembarked normally and engineers started checking the plane to see where the smoke came from.
