Air Europa, which is taking over the Almeria – Seville and the Almeria-Madrid routes, has announced that it will not operate separate flights, but instead one long “triangle”.
So the route will be Madrid – Almeria – Seville and vice versa, as from the 17th of Feb.
Although Air Europa hasn’t confirmed the Madrid Almeria timetable, it has confirmed it will run a twice daily service Monday – Friday, no service on Saturdays and a single flight on Sundays.
The trip leaves Almeria for Seville at 8:55am, arriving at 10am. The return trip leaves Seville’s San Pablo airport at 10:30 am, arriving at 11:40am.
The evening flight (and Sundays) will be leaving Almeria at 17:55 and arriving in Seville at 19:00; returning at 19:30 from Seville and landing in Almeria at 20:40.
The plane used will be an ATR 72 with space for 68 passengers, a turboprop similar to the planes used by Air Nostrum. When I typed ATR 68 avion into Google I got the above photo, if it’s not an ATR 68 I don’t much care. 🙂
