Missing Garrucha Prawns make it to Congress

A local deputy has tabled a question in Congress asking the National Government if it has any idea why the Garrucha Prawn has vanished. Not a one has been spotted since the spring, although, strangely enough, I noticed quite a few restaurants along the playa selling “fresh Garrucha Prawns” for about 120€ a kilo. Ah hem. Fuengirola bans non-Spanish music from the fiesta

Fuengirola townhall has banned all foreign music from the town fair this weekend. Minimum wage frozen at 645 euros a month for 2014

The government has announced that the minimum wage level in Spain will be frozen at 645 euros a month for 2014. That’s just 21,51€ a day for eight hours of work.
