IVA increase will apply to July and August utility bills

A complaint has been lodged alledging that the IVA increase, due on the 1st of September, will affect water, gas, telephone and electric bills for the months of July and August unless the government issues an exception. Almeria third cheapest holiday destination in the world, says survey

A survey of holiday destinations by the portal trivago.com has said that Almería is the third cheapest holiday destination in the world, costing an average of just 61€ a day for a full board double hotel room during July and August. Other cheap Spanish destinations singled out are Santa Cruz de Tenerife, at number two (just 60€ a day) or Las Palmas, at 62€ a day. The cheapest destination is Patong Beach, Thailand. It’s the Turre fiestas de Santiago this weekend (20 – 22 July). San Santiago actually has his shindigs on the 25th (which is a public holiday in Galicia) but hey, let’s have it over the weekend.
