45% of all Andalucian medical centres will close in the afternoon this summer

The Andalucian health service (SAS) has announced that it will close around 45% of all medical centres in Andalucia in the afternoons this summer. The move will save Andalucia around 6,4 million euros in salaries, but will allow the SAS to concentrate resources on coastal medical centres to deal with the influx of tourists. Diputacion will study ways of asking EU for money for Mojacar bowling club (but won’t pay for it)

The Diputación has agreed to a request from Mojácar townhall to”assist the townhall” to “analyze the possibility” of “creating a request” for an EU grant to build the proposed bowling centre in Mojácar (which would be the fourth in the Levante). Mojacar wants to break out of “seasonal tourism” rut
