A couple from Mojácar have been asked to pop down to the local nick in connection with the selling of fake holidays on the net.
The couple advertised a random villa (in the Costa Blanca) for short holidays on internet websites, asking for a cash deposit upfront. Once the happy holidaymakers had coughed up, the couple would break contact. Several couples -mainly French- actually turned up expecting the home to be ready for them.
At least 60 people have been conned, netting the couple at least 150,000 €
