The INE has released data on the number of people eligable to vote in the May 22 elections.
According to La Voz, 14.670 “foriengers” have registered to vote in the May elections, out of which 7.280 are Brits, by far the largest percentage. In some towns, they are a substantial portion of the vote. Here’s the breakdown, as supplied by the paper:
Arboleas: 49% of the vote is British.
Partaloa: 43%
Bedar: 40%
Mojacar: 37%
Zurgena: 35%
Albanchez: 26%
Los Gallardos: 22%
Turre: 18%
Cantoria: 15%
Taberno: 12%
