I’m told that the Albox-Cucador stretch of the Almanzora motorway has been finished, is being painted, and is expected to open to traffic next week/ first week of December.
The rest of the motorway will be contracted out by the end of 2011, the Junta has promised, albeit via this mad private/public shared investment scheme, where companies pay to build a motorway and “gift it” to the state in exchange for 40 or 50 years worth of inflated maintainence contracts to look after it.
