Junta turns nasty and threatens parents who don’t want to give kids the MMR jab

The Junta de Andalucia has become alarmed by a measles outbreak in Granada city and has threatened parents with legal action if they don’t give kids the MMR jab.

Seems the Health Honchos went round threatening parents who hadn’t bothered to vaccinate their kids, but were told: At the moment it’s voluntary, so tough.

The Junta, not an organisation that enjoys having egg on its face, says it’s sending out letter to parents of unvaccinated kids and if they don’t do anything, will apply for judicial orders. That should be fun.

I think we can expect, very shortly, a new law coming along ordering vaccination of kids…. They’ve also, by the way, lowered the age for the first vaccination from 15 months to 12. Not sure if that’s a permanent change or a temporary one. People with a 12 month old baby in the house, this is the sort of thing you should be asking your GP, not me. I don’t even know what a 12 month old baby looks like.
