La Mata bowls club

It’s been confirmed that La Mata bowling club is to be dissolved, and the green grass bowling centre decommissioned. Members of the club have been told that their memberships will end at the end of December, and the centre will not open for the new year. The club had about 70 members. A shame. It’s a lovely location.

Almeria to get six new charter flights a week

Sehrs airlines has signed a deal to fly six times a week into Almería airport, bringing, we hope, lots of eager tourists on every flight. The flights will initially run between May and September 2011, with an option to continue. If you’ve never heard of Sehrs, it’s because it’s an Eastern European low cost charter operator, and will be flying to Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic, two flights a week.
