<!– @page { size: 21cm 29.7cm; margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } –>Damaso Visiedo, my buddy in Turre town hall who is also the sole councilor for I.U. there, has stated that he’s fed up of the back biting and infighting that is typical of all town hall meetings there and will tender his resignation this week. He will not return to politics and plans to concentrate on “himself and his painting business”. He’s a good painter. Houses, not portraits. He will be familiar to many people as “the serious one in the overalls” who has helped organise many social events in Turre. It’s mainly down to his hard work that they weren’t allowed to build 52,000 houses in the Sierra Cabrera.
His place is expected to be taken by Martin Morales, another good friend of mine, who starts his political career in a somewhat turbulent time for Turre. He will be familiar to many people as “the beaming one”. He’s also big in ecology and supporting the mountains.
No, I´m not an IU supporter, I just seem to know a lot of them!
