Eduardo Roca painting exhibition in Cuevas

A collection of paintings by award-winning artist Eduardo Roca will be exhibited at the “Villanita” in Avenida Barcelona in Cuevas del Almanzora. The exhibition, entitled An Uncertain Journey”, has been organised by art expert Miguel Servera, the Director of the Sa Pleta Freda gallery in Mallorca and forrner director of the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation. Servera took on the restoration of Villanita with the aim of opening its doors after 20 years for events of this kind and to serve as a cultural meeting place. The exhibition of works by the young Sorbas-based artist will be inaugurated on 6th Septernber at 8.30pm.

The exhibition takes place within Villa Anita, a late 19th century house which retains much of its original charrn, and stands out most for its enorrnous sun terrace with its distinctive stained glass windows. The property takes its name from Ana Manuela Soler, the daughter-in-Iaw of the man who built the property, mine owner and Conservative party deputy and senator between 1890 and 1907, Manuel Soler Gómez
