The local I.U. hq in Turre is showcasing a sample of local artists works until Sunday, in association with GALLARTE and PINTURAMA.
Ranging from knitted dolls to handmade silverware to a vast array of paintings (ranging from not very good to oh all right then it wouldn’t look too bad in the spare room*) it’s well worth a potter if you are around.
The silverware is made by “Blue Tina” and is all homemade and unique. Quite nice. I forget who the dolls and knitware are by but they are all wonderful. There are also quite a few stonework rubbings which are quite decent.
Not being a man who enjoys queues and other people, I got Martin to let us in after hours, and raided the fridge – they are giving away free beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks. But you can get in from 11.30 – 13.30 and 17.30-21.00 every day until Sunday 6 July.
*Actually there’s quite a few decent paintings as well, including one I was tempted to bid for until told not to by the G.F.
