14 people rescued as Almanzora river bursts its banks

10 adults, two toddlers and two babys were rescued by Albox firemen from a cortijo in Purchena last night, when they were cut off by rapidly rising waters in the Rio Almanzora.

All are safe, but again it goes to show how dangerous these river beds can be in the middle of a storm.
